Much too expensive in comparison to other insurance companies that deal with the military (or civilian).

I believe your query related to GB Snowboard/Ski and not for a member of HM Forces. We cannot insure individuals on out travel schemes if they under the age of 18. However under 18’s who are members of HM Forces pose no problem when they are part of an organised AT/Winter Sports exercise.
