It sounds like your order was indeed packaged incorrectly! We have very strict guidelines that our shipping team at our warehouse MUST follow with regards to (particularly!) packaging the Cod Liver Oil. It is normally individually boxed, bubble wrapped inside the foil bag along with the chilled gel packs, with an additional 'fragile/glass' sticker on the outside of the parcel. We have taken steps to ensure that this mistake never happens again.
Even though the gel packs burst you need not be concerned about the quality of your oil as it is perfectly designed for extended shipping times, even in hot climates, due to the nitrogen flushed bottle, natural Vitamin E, and a drop of Rosemary oil.
We recommend the chilled shipping as an optional extra insurance if for some reason your package is severely delayed in extreme weather.
