Easy, cheap, and effective

They're a gamble, in that it would be extremely expensive to change an itinerary and it's unclear what would happen if your flights got messed up. But as long as you understand what you're getting...

Actually, come to think of it, I was impressed by their honesty once. On a previous transaction, the airline charged more than FareDepot's website had promised. FareDepot refunded the difference promptly and in full. That confirmed to me that while their rules are firm, they're clear about the rules, and they actually do play fairly by those rules.
