My work schedule was changed, so I had to cancel my hotel reservation. When I called Expedia to cancel, there was so much background noise around the agent that niether of us could hear or understand the other and the cancellation was not done. When I was able to call back the next day, there was still noticeable background noise but it was mangeable. The agent was able to cancel my reservation, but I was still charged for the first night due to the communication problems from the first call. Expedia should also consider staffing the call center with English-speaking operators.
