The first thing I noticed after moving our Mother to Elmcroft is that everyone working there actually seemed as if they were there for the residents and not just the paycheck., The previous care center for Mom had very little personal contact or communication with the residents in the dementia unit, and to us, that is one of the most important things needed. So far after a couple of weeks at Elmcroft, they keep us "in the know" at all times and are always working with the residents. A deeply refreshing and comforting new experience from the previous.
The main complaint I hear is about the food. I don't think the residents are too happy with the food served. My Mom says it's beef, beef ,beef. And she would rather have more fish and fresh...
Very glad that this alzheimer's facility is available to care for my Dad. I appreciate the devotional time and group activities that are available daily for the residents. Everyone at the facility...
