Hi there. What a shame that you received customs/taxes with the delivery. As that's happened to many of us the other way (buying items into the UK) I can certainly appreciate the frustration. We're looking at what else we can do to help our non-UK customers, but as with almost every UK retailer - it's still very tricky right now.
It's also worth pointing out that we do in fact mention the possibility of country-specific fees in several places on the website, including a prominent message on the checkout page before anyone clicks through to pay.
For reference (and any other interested readers) it says: "At the moment, some orders may incur local Import Duty and taxes, which you may be asked to pay on delivery of your order. We’ll do what we can to help, but DCUK cannot be held responsible for these charges."
Given all that, it's really disappointing to be hit with a 1-star review for this. Especially as our reputation and feedback is everything to us... with so many thousands of other people from all over the world agreeing with our dedication to a 5-star experience. Hopefully if you try us again sometime, you might consider a higher review based on the experience.
I also hope that anyone seeing the review for the very popular Santa Duckling you purchased will see that it is certainly not 1-star quality, which is sadly what it looks like now. Thank you for your feedback in any case, and best wishes.
