I phoned the insurance company as Our holiday was cancelled due to runway closure, I was told the claim is nothing to do with us, I asked for advice the reply was can't give you any, end of call.

First travel insurance I've bought and it was painless. Took less than five minutes to purchase it. Good figures on the payouts. Wasn't the cheapest but good insurance
