Dear Julia, I’m very sorry you didn’t receive what you had ordered in time for your husband’s birthday. I fully appreciate the disappointment this will have caused. We take all our customers’ views and concerns very seriously. Our primary goal is to create happy customers. If we fall short of that objective you (and all our other customers) can be sure we will do all we can to put things right. Your own experience is no exception and I would welcome your guidance as to what more we might do to rectify the situation to your complete satisfaction. Our business will only grow and our Pints with Purpose initiative will only succeed if we continue to build a strong and positive reputation by addressing and correcting any mistake we might make. As I explained in my email reply to you when one of your boxes did not arrive, this box was damaged in transit by our courier. Regrettably this does sometimes happen. Despite the fact that we pay ParcelForce a premium for the separate handling of fragile goods (all our beers are in glass bottles), some courier drivers can be rather heavy handed. However, as soon as you alerted us to this issue, we did send out a replacement box immediately. This arrived with you within 48 hours although sadly not in time for your husband’s birthday. Admittedly, the full complement of 12 bottles in this replacement consignment arrived in two separate boxes. This was a packing mistake made by a new member of our warehouse staff. We did hope that having finally fulfilled your order (at least in terms of the number of bottles ordered albeit delivered later than you or we would have liked), that we had put things right to your satisfaction.
