We're really sorry to hear that you struggled to get used to your new Sleepbear mattress Helen.  Our mattress has been designed for support and comfort with its sumptuous top layer of pure latex.   However, what one person may find too firm, another finds just right.  At Sleepbear we strive to deliver the best sleep experience.  However, there are many contributing factors that can cause a person to sleep hot.   We all sleep at different temperatures but other factors include room temperature and bedding.  The Sleep Council advises an ideal bedroom temperature of around 18-21 degrees Celsius.  100% cotton sheets excel at breathability and moisture wicking along with lightweight covers made of natural breathable fibres.  Mattresses made using Latex have a very low rate of heat complaints and pure latex sleeps cooler than synthetic latex and memory foam.
