I was really impressed to get a phone call from Mendelssohn very soon after I left the above comments. Lawrence apologised and explained it was a 'picking error' and the correct ICOM original battery would be dispatched immediately, together with a postage-paid bag for me to return the aftermarket battery, even though I had been using the latter.
You only really find out how good a company is when a problem occurs and this was an exemplary response. My opinion of Mendelssohn changed from being uncertain if I'd buy from them again to being both confident of buying again and willing to recommend them to friends. So thank you and well done on great customer service!
