Our turf dressings are mixed at a ratio of 70% silica sand and 30% sandy soil, this is screened down to 3mm and heat sterilised. It is then independently tested by the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI), copies of the analysis available upon request, to ensure that the mix is suitable for purpose. As the product is screened very finely, it may appear on first glance to be a sand mix but we can ensure you this is a sand and soil mix as stated above. We supply this exact product to the professional market, catering for golf courses and bowls clubs throughout the country.
Turf dressing is designed to be used on existing lawns to improve the soil structure and help with drainage of the soil as well as providing a smooth level surface. If you are turfing a lawn we would recommend using a screened soil and not a turf dressings, please refer to the two articles linked below:
