At Everypaw, we do try to keep our process as simple as possible and if a disclosure is made by a customer at the start of the policy we seek further information. We do this at the start of the process to ensure that our customers are aware about what would and wouldn't be covered in the event of a claim from the outset , which usually has the benefit of speeding up the claims process later on. Not all pet insurance providers do this, but we like to be transparent so that there are no nasty surprises at claim stage. At times premiums can change when additional information from the vet has been supplied in the underwriting process, for example conflicting breed information.
