Big St John's
The Landmark Trust delivered again, with the help of Mother nature of course. We wanted to see the puffins and were not disappointed. It was puffin heaven for us with almost a day spent mesmerised...

Poultry Cottage
Lovely cottage in the woods with a garden to sit in and watch the birds and occasional walkers. A great cente as well for exploring this bit of the Welsh marches and Offa's Dyke.

The China Tower
Unforgettable experience staying in this beautifullly restored Victorian folly. From the moment we first glimpsed it through the rather overgrown woods to excitedly exploring all the floors and...

The Pigsty
The Pigsty is a really unique & wonderful Landmark building & a real pleasure to stay in. All a bit 'bonkers' too - but that was the fun of it!

Keeper's Cottage
Elegant, immaculately kept hideaway in the woods with biplanes overhead each morning, an excellent pub in walking distance and owls at night. Definitely to be returned to.

Obriss Farm
A lovely, cosy building which maintains its farmhouse feel. Not the easiest entrance to spot and the drive might put some people off. Little bit of a problem with the outside safety light on all the...

Nicolle Tower
This was a lovely place to stay, with excellent views and within walking distance of the botanic gardens. You just have to be prepared for the fact that there isn't a lot of space in this building....

What a magical little beach. We so enjoyed our visit there. A harbor seal swam in near shore to say hello. As always the cottage came well equipped down to every detail. Very relaxing and glorious...

The Banqueting House
We loved staying in such an interesting and beautiful building. It has been beautifully renovated. There is plenty to do in the area both on foot and by car. We spent a lot of time just gazing out of...

We take on historic places in danger and carefully and sensitively restore them. By making them available for holidays, we make sure they can be enjoyed by all, both today and for future generations. We have in our care nearly 200 buildings in Britain, several in Italy and France and one in Belgium. Though they range from the sober to the spectacular, all our buildings are rich in history and atmosphere. They include picturesque pavilions and medieval long-houses, artillery forts and Gothick follies, clan chiefs’ castles and cotton weavers’ cottages, the homes of great writers and the creations of great architects, from Browning to Boswell, from Pugin to Palladio.
