Thank you very much for your earlier time on the phone. As discussed there are a very large number of instances of high pressurised sales from hire car company representatives for their customers to take their excess waiver. You do not need to - you remain liable for the excess and reclaim this from us. A quick 'Google' of 'BBC Car Hire Excess Insurance' returns many reports on this subject. We're sorry that you encountered this problem, our FAQs and Policy Wording explains that this is a Car Hire Excess Reimbursement Insurance, the Hire Car Company will NOT recognise our certificate. To clarify - we misunderstood the purpose of this policy, so we did waster our money - but that was our fault ;-)
