as an industrial supplier we are not geared up for posting small items out and so have to rely on carrier costs, which we pass on at just below cost price. These can seem high for small orders, but for most of our customers who order regularly, this is compensated by the fact that we provide free carriage for all orders, including pipe, over £50. Most of our competitors have this limit set at over £250, or even higher if pipe is ordered. We do try to be upfront on our website with our delivery costs, which are stated on every page on the site, so there is no surprise at the checkout.
