Thank you for taking the time to speak with me this morning and on Friday regarding your policy and your comments. As you aware we had incepted cover for you with a new insurer and upon receipt of your no claims discount, a claim was noted that we had not previously been notified of. The no claims discount was therefore stepped back to nil and subsequently this has generated an additional premium with your new company. As you had advised on Friday that you were looking to cancel the policy, I have spoken with your insurer and can confirm that the policy will now be treated as not taken up. I have arranged a refund to your card for the premium you have paid and I am hoping that this will show in your account within 3-5 working days. The set of events that have taken place are of course frustrating for all parties involved and they have been forced upon us by the non co-operation of your previous insurer.
