Further to the recent renewal of your insurance policy, may I firstly thank you for your continued support of the company and for taking the time to leave feedback on our service. As we take all feedback seriously, I was extremely concerned by your comments and as relayed to your wife earlier, I wanted to look into the matter personally. Although my colleague was the appointed account handler for your renewal, I have been aware of the situation prior to this as I know it has been a lengthy renewal process and at times, stressful to you, given the queries raised by the Insurers which I know was out of our control. Just to recap, the issues raised by the insurers was part of their routine research, they carry out prior to offering renewal. As you’d expect, given the nature of this type of insurance, it’s important to them to make sure the client has the appropriate cover in place and to avoid any necessary issues should a claim take place, i.e. in this instance by not having the relevant cover in place. I know in the first instance they wanted us to check with you, the types of vehicles you have/had and level of cover you had in place as it didn’t seem to reflect that of your website. I know you kindly provided us with a relevant explanation, which in turn we reported back to your insurer. I can see from our records that this part of the renewal process seemed to be a lengthy one as they had further queries and from both parties point of view a frustrating one. Again I emphasise, that although the situation did drag, I believe we were was trying to get the situation resolved as soon we could and it was in our interest to reach a satisfactory conclusion, So please accept my apologies for the stress caused and if at times this also affected our handling of the situation, which I know was unwanted to us both. I hope you can see that we were unable to avoid the situation that arose at renewal, but I believe we have acted as effectively as possible to try and assist given this was an insurer issue not us as your broker. Good morning, Thank you for your feedback and for renewing your Taxi Insurance with Plan Insurance Brokers. All feedback is taken onboard and checked to see if processes have been followed correctly. In this instance our charges are clearly stated on our terms of business which are sent with your renewal invitation, this therefore means we are not hiding additional charges or information. I understand to have an amount added at renewal can be frustrating however your agent could only confirm this over the phone once they are aware you are going to pay by card. We have resisted charging for card payments for many years but due to increasing bank charges we can not cover this cost, our competitors have been charging this fee for a number of years.
