The checkout process was smooth and the order shipped and delivered promptly. However the wrong cable was sent. I emailed to request a replacement on Wednesday morning, offering to buy a new cable...

Good Morning Joe, I have found out that on our system that this has been marked as resolved, and we already collected the cable from yourself, we have sent out a new cable for next day delivery as it is policy that we receive the returned cable before an exchange can take place,  regarding the £40 delivery for a Saturday, that was the lowest quote that we could get from our courier service and this was out of our hands and we can only apologise for this. Situations like this rarely happen and the process can sometimes feel timely.If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to contact us. Kind regards,Robert.

Robert - appreciate the response and would comment as below. 1. Communication was poor from the outset. The person I spoke to on Friday said they would get back in touch to let me know when the new cable would be shipped and if they could arrange a Saturday deliver (didn't happen). The person I spoke to yesterday said they would let me know tracking details for the new cable (didn't happen). 2. My initial email flagging up the issue was ignored until I phoned two days later. I am involved in ecommerce as well and we work to a 1 hour response time. 3. In my email I offered to buy a new cable and then get a refund on the return. The person I spoke to did not say I would need to wait for the one you sent in error to be received back before a new one was sent. Quite the opposite - she said it would be sent out same day, potentially for Saturday delivery. 4. Mistakes happen in life, I get that. If we have a slip at work then we do what we can to resolve it for the client and keep them informed. Some additional cost to resolve a situation is the cost of good service and building trust. 5. There has been no communication from your side. I still don't have a tracking number for the cable that I wish I had bought elsewhere. I purposely chose to support what I perceived to be an independent rather than one of the giants of ecommerce though none of the advantages you should have came through. Thanks, Joe

Hello Joe,

I’m so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. That was truly not our attention. We really appreciate your feedback and hope you give us a chance to make it right! I’m going to chase the tracking number up personally for you now.

We are quite a small team here and we aim to always reply to all our emails in a reasonable time scale, as you can understand some periods of time can get busier than others and we have to deal with a lot of emails on a daily basis, we always aim to try and get an email answered within a couple of hours so can only apologise for this being missed.

Under our return policy the cable must be received back first before we can send out another cable, so there must have been some miscommunication on our side.If you would like my personal email so if you have any further questions you can contact me directly and make sure anything you need gets resolved.
