We want to reassure you that a full investigation is still actively ongoing. To provide some context, the vehicle was inspected by a main dealer, and their report indicates that misfuelling took place, causing extensive engine damage totalling over €7,000. As such, the appropriate excess of €1,500 was applied in line with the rental terms. We do not take these matters lightly and are thoroughly reviewing the case before coming to a final conclusion. Zest publicly referred to a “main dealer report”, but in direct communication they provided only a repair estimate and confirmed they had not received further documentation. The estimate is not a technical report, fuel analysis, retained fuel sample record or proof of customer liability. I have repeatedly asked for the actual evidence and it has still not been provided. Zest refuse to take responsibility for the scam of their business partner and let customer to solve it on his own. My experience is getting worse and worse as this case continues.
