Thank-you for your feedback. The Calancombe Estate is relatively new (planted from 2013 onwards). As the vines get older they tend to mellow out, so it's certainly worth keeping an eye on this English producer. Hopefully there was a enjoyable contrast with the Lyme Bar Sandbar Bacchus purchased at the same time (but made using grapes from more mature vineyards).

The service was good but they didn’t put the note that I requested them to put in when delivering the order.

Thank-you for your feedback. There is an option during the checkout process to add a greeting card with personalised message; unfortunately on this order the greeting card option was not selected. Feedback from other customers suggests that the greeting card option needs to be more obvious and we are working to improve this. If you need any help when placing future orders our telephone lines are open until 10pm weekdays and 5pm weekends.

Worth trying - good value

Good, easy to use website, great prices, prompt delivery and the 2020 pinot noir is comparable to much pricier French versions of Beaune and Chambertin especially.

Hi Bob, thanks for your comments, it's great to hear that you enjoyed the Sharpham Pinot Noir. English wine has really come on leaps and bounds in the last few years and good winemakers are making reds as good as anything produced in France! I really love the Knightor Pinot Noir too, which is well worth trying.
