Simple, I phoned and emailed customer service with no reply. The product is not easy to use. You have to squeeze hard to get water out. This was very disappointing.

We man the UK phones 10 hours per day and the system automatically goes to answerphone if unanswered, we have not had an unanswered call or message on the answer service. Which email address did you use , we cannot find your hotmail account on our system either.
The active bottle is simple to use, if you were drinking the water with an activated filter there should not be an issue/ Did you follow the instructions on how to activate the filter before use?

Slightly heavier than conventional water bottle due to the filter. One has to actively **** the water down rather than just pour. However, I didn't get sick which is the main thing!
These bottles are great - shame the replacement filters are so expensive

We note your comment on the price of replacement filters but as each one filters 200 litres that works out at under 7p for a LITRE of safe clean drinking water anywhere anytime. That's far cheaper than bottled water and also far better for the planet.
