Thank you so much for your feedback regarding our Hampstead Holiday Camp. We're really sorry to hear of your disappointment for sure - especially as we can see that your child attended our Ofsted-registered Holiday Camp for 9 days with us. We only wish, any concerns were raised beforehand with us as we would have been more than happy to action anything, reassure you or even offer you a tour around the space that we hire. Further opportunities to inform us of your disappointment could have been via our "Daily Newsletters" that you received every day with us to simply calling our Head Office on 0121 296 9204. We take feedback very seriously and raised an urgent meeting regarding your 2* review. Having spoken to our teams, they mentioned your child was really happy with us, made new friends and even enjoyed playing the instruments on offer which were violin, guitar and ukulele. Sisi, our Holiday Camp Assistant who holds a masters in childcare mentioned your daughter also loved being outside in our breaktimes and made lots of friends. The venue itself did have building works going on however not in the space that we were hiring. We have been at this venue for 10 years and have a fantastic relationship with the team there. In regards to popping in earlier to pick up your child, we disagree that our staff would not have been interacting with the children. We only hire the best and this includes qualified primary school teachers and childcare practitioners of a high calibre. Everyone is fully aware of the importance of nurturing children's interests however they also are aware of offering a careful balance between adult led and child initiated play. Hence maybe when you entered our main room, you saw children playing with different activities which is something we really promote at certain parts of the day. We also disagree with you regarding us offering any additional value. Your child took part in over 18 workshops with us, all designed by our Activities Manager, Lucy Hoy and also took part in our morning instrumental lessons, led by our amazing string teachers. Your child also got to take an instrument home for free every evening they were booked with us. Thank you again and we hope to welcome you back to The Strings Club very soon!

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding our Crouch End Holiday Camp. We're happy to hear that your child was happy with our amazing staff and settled in quickly. We are also sorry to hear that you feel dissapointed in the amount of music provision taking place at our Holiday Camps. Mornings include our instrumental sessions and chidlren play 2 x 45 mins sessions. The week you were booked in with us, your child had Ukulele sessions with Tom Remon which we can imagine were brilliant as Tom is a professional musician and is a wonderful teacher. During the afternoons, we have our carefully-created workshops that are all based holistically around music. For example, wc 12th August, we have: drama and music, dance and music, art and music, big jam sessions, wellbeing and music. That week, your child took place in: - Spellbinding Circus - Step right up to our circus jam session! We will explore our musical talents under the big top, improvising and collaborating to create whimsical melodies that capture the magic of the circus. - Do You Believe in Magic? - Together, we’ll practice vocal techniques and performance skills, all while having fun and letting our voices shine. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or just love to sing along, this workshop will leave you believing in the magic of music! - Instrument Exploration - We'll dive into a treasure trove of different instruments, taking inspiration from ‘Into The Woods’. Get ready to play, experiment, and discover! Together, we'll create our own magical melodies and rhythms, combining our talents to perform as an enchanting musical group. We also agree with you that some children just want to play an instrument all day and this is great! That's why we're busy designing a brand new Holiday Camp coming very soon which will present a larger focus on playing an instrument. This will be for 8-11s and we'll update you soon via our newsletter with further info. To note, no children watch TV at our Holiday Camps and this is something we share in our training session to everyone who works for us. We will take your feedback into consideration and we will be discussing this in our Post-Event Evaluation Meeting this week too. Thank you so much for your feedback regarding our Walthamstow Holiday Camp. We're sorry to hear of your disappointment for sure. We're aware you called our Head Office on the same day you left this feedback and spoke to our Admin and Events Assistant Caitlin who mentioned your feedback would be escalated to the teams, investigated and a thorough follow up would be actioned for you. We're also aware that your son attended the week before and thoroughly enjoyed himself - which is good to know for sure. Having looked into the matter and spoken to all staff members, we can see where the mishap took place. Unfortunately a number of guitars had gone missing. Children aged 8-11 therefore had the chance to have a go at ukulele instead with our teacher Giuseppe. From chatting to our team, your children seemed very happy to go into ukulele and your daughter even had her ukulele with her. Unfortunately, some children wanted to have a go at a nursery rhyme that they had learnt that week too - ready for the Grand Concert that was taking place later that day at 3:30pm. We can see how this would be boring for an 8 and 11 year old and we apologise about this. We also will be looking into the matter with the teacher in question and also reiterating the importance of children staying in their groups for sure in our Pre-Holiday Camp training sessions. That day, your children also took part in our carefully-created workshops, designed by our Activities Manager and qualified primary school teacher, Lucy Hoy. These included: - Ultimate Fitness Challenge: Join us for a heart-pumping adventure that celebrates the Olympic spirit andencourages everyone to strive for their personal best! Each challenge is crafted to enhance agility, strength, and speed. - Mystery Workshop: Children can choose what they'd like to take part in - from playing football outside to art - this is the time for them to do what makes them happy! We will take your feedback into consideration and we will be discussing this in our Post-Event Evaluation Meeting alongside future training sessions too.
