the guy was here about 2 minutes, said it was beyond repair and said "We don't want to get involved to be honest" Wasn't even interested in giving me a quote to replace the door.

However, having consulted with the technician who made the visit to your property, the door was obsolete with obsolete parts. The framework of the door was also in poor condition and integral to the building with a suspected supporting asbestos roof which we would not be able to undertake such work to repair as would require a builder or similar.
