In our experience the Camino is a very safe route, thousands travel the many routes every year, many of them lone walkers; as such we don't feel additional caution is required. However isolated incidents might happen and we recommend travellers always report them to the authorities so they can deal with it. We would always recommend our customers to take a mobile phone with them also.
