It is very sad and depressing to read your feedback Mr D though sadly, given your general attitude, it was anticipated. However, I must take the strongest possible issue with your defamatory comments about our company and service. These are the facts:
You placed an order after 10pm last Wednesday evening, for which we are of course grateful. You ordered Express Shipping. We are crystal clear both during checkout and on each and every product page that Express Shipments are shipped the next working day (in this case on the Thursday) and that they need to be signed for on delivery.
Your order was, as anticipated, shipped on the Thursday.
We received what I can only describe as an aggressive email from you on Friday morning complaining that your order had not been delivered on the Thursday.
We emailed you immediately and explained that it could only be sent on the Thursday given that it was ordered so late on the Wednesdasy and that we could in fact see that the Royal Mail had, as requested, tried to deliver the parcel to you at 9.34am on the Friday morning. You would also have been receiving SMS text messages from Royal Mail updating you on your delivery throughout.
At 7.45pm on the Friday evening you tried to call three times in quick succession. You did not leave a message. We were unable to take the call as we were on other calls at the time but we immediately called you back, just before 8pm. By then you had sent in another what can generously be described as an insulting and rude email.
I personally spoke to you for over 20 minutes and listened patiently to your abuse and did my very best to answer your questions.
You said that you were not made aware that Express parcels had to be signed for. You asked where this was stated on the site and when this was pointed out to you, you complained that your local depot closed at 1pm on a Friday.
You threatened every manner of damage to our company when in fact we have, as far as we are concerned, done everything asked of us by you. I apologised over and over again if you had been confused by anything on the site.
You demanded more and I eventually asked what you wanted me to do apart from explain, answer your questions and apologise? I did point out that I was calling you on a Friday evening - not because it is a problem for us to do so, but because I rather feel that it points to us taking customer service extremely seriously and we work incredibly hard to make sure our customers are happy.
I am genuinely sorry that you are such an unhappy customer but given that we did absolutely everything you asked us to do, within the time requested, I do not believe your comments are warranted. Your email to us stated that "you had never ever in your life been more disgusted with anything" - that does seem rather strong in the circumstances?
