We have checked the booking and it would appear that you agreed to the costs departing from the airport of your choice. we believe that our agent reassured you that as no title is shown in the passport this would not impact on your travel arrangements. You should now be in receipt of your confirmation which clearly shows that your holiday is booked and confirmed in line with your instructions.

the only thing I was disappointed in was that the accommodation info I received did not match what I had booked in the number of days.hopefully that can be sorted. Hal was excellent on the phone.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience of the issues raised in this review. Unfortunately, as the admin department is not open over the weekend, the amendments were not administered, and therefore no confirmation was sent until Monday 20 January. We apologise if this caused any inconvenience. Our website does not permit more than 4 children being added at one time as all hotels restrict the number of guests in one room and any excess numbers may cause confusion. Our website also features a Groups Priority line which you may have called as your party exceeds 9 people. Our admin team has no male staff members and therefore can only presume that your initial calls were to our sales department who would have been unable to address the issues raised. we always sympathise with any inconvenience should personal expectation not be achieved in relation to our service Feedback, whether good or bad, is monitored to assist us as we strive to meet customer requirements.

Please don't try to make this look like my fault. My initial calls were to the correct operator. When I wanted to make the amendment, I originally spoke to one of your female staff who told me she would put me through to someone who could deal with the query. The person who answered was most definitely male, unless one of your female staff has a very deep voice, and informed me that he didn't deal with bookings. Why was I put through to the wrong person and why did I not receive the call back that I was promised by him.
Another thing that I have found since my original post, which is echoed in so many other complaints is the price. As soon as you book, it mysteriously increases and you are fobbed off with the lame excuse that "it's the way the travel industry works". My flights were increased by £20 per person because the flight suddenly became "popular" because I made a booking for 11 people. Most industries give you a DISCOUNT for bulk purchases!
I have never before experienced this pricing issue with any other holiday company and have always paid the price as shown on their website. In short I think Holiday Gems (Gems, there's a laugh) are a rip off who seriously need to look at the way they do business. I will NEVER use this firm again and would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

Many online agents do not have live web prices and we do refute your comments in that regard. It is unfortunate that you agreed to the costs and then choose to complain after the booking is confirmed. It is always the prerogative of the client to accept or decline a cost prior to confirmation of the order. We have apologised for the issues relating to our service. We do, of course, respect your opinion.
