River conditions, including low water levels, are beyond our control and can change very quickly. Any decisions regarding itinerary amendments are made in consultation with our shipping partners based on the most up-to-date operational information available. Once changes are required, considerable logistics are involved in arranging a revised itinerary and associated shore excursions for all guests. As advised prior to departure, guests were informed of the changes and were offered the option to cancel and receive a full refund should they have preferred not to travel. If you would like your concerns to be reviewed further, please do write to our Guest Relations team. They will carefully consider all points raised and respond within 28 days, in line with ABTA guidelines.

We fully understand your disappointment at missing some of the planned highlights, including Budapest, the Hungarian scenery and the Nibelungen Valley. Unfortunately, the exceptionally low water levels experienced across parts of Europe affected river cruise operations for all operators sailing in the region, and itinerary changes were necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.
