The rare widespread Northeast cold snap at the end of March caused to to shut off shipping orders because of likelihood of freeze damage. Constance, Carola is one of the best-tasting potatoes we grow. Years ago we got a call from Martha Stewart's Belgian Chef. He was desperate for some 'Bintje' potatoes for a segment to be filmed later that same week. Though we had grown Bintjes before we had none to offer. I suggested Carola and we overnighted some down to NYC. He called back after he cooked the Carola and said they were PERFECT - and even better than Bintje (same as our opinion)! Jim
