I apologize that no one got back to you. We have been in the field planting our crops and we must have missed your call. By design, we provide our customers with physiologically young, vigorous organic Certified Seed Potato tubers, which are dormant during most of our shipping year. To break tubers out of dormancy, warm them up for a week or so at room temperature. After a week the eyes will become discernible as the sprouts begin to emerge. The eyes are there, they are just difficult to see! Caleb

Nature programs potatoes to break dormancy in the Spring. At this time of year, even if tubers were dormant on shipping day they would break dormancy with the warm temperatures during transit. In a future year you might consider having us ship in February when tubers are fully dormant and temperatures during transit are still cool enough. Then you could store them in a refrigerator until a couple of weeks before Fall planting date, at which time you may remove them and allow them to warm up and break dormancy. Caleb
