Our pashmina can feel thinner and smoother when they are newly woven and freshly pressed, especially compared to a well-loved pashmina that has softened and lofted over time. With regular wear, the natural fibres will gradually lift and bloom, creating the softer, fuller feel that is characteristic of our cashmere and silk pashmina. We are very sorry to hear that your new Tracy roll neck did not meet your expectations, especially when you have so enjoyed the sweaters you purchased previously. As a small company, the quality of our knitwear is of the utmost importance to us. We have been working with the same factory and using the same quality of yarn for many years. We regularly test our yarn to ensure it continues to meet our standards, so I can assure you it is 100% grade 'A' cashmere. However, we completely appreciate your concern regarding the feel of the garment. Newly knitted and pressed cashmere can sometimes feel less soft and fluffy than a much-loved piece that has been worn and washed many times. One of the characteristics of good-quality cashmere is that it softens and blooms with wear, becoming increasingly soft with use. We would be more than happy to have the garment returned to us so that we can put it through our specialist refinish service, which will help the cashmere feel softer to the touch from the outset.
