Unfortunately the double mattress on bed was lumpy in places & flat in others when lying on it we vcould feel the wood base,very uncomfortable. Very small portions for evening meal & vegetables were...

Thank you for your feedback in respect of your stay at the Derwentwater Hotel.Mattresses are checked and turned regularly to ensure that they are maintained to a reasonable standard. When an item is in regular use, its condition can change and we try to monitor this so we can arrange a replacement as soon as we can. It is fair to say that It is true that we have reduced the amount of food served at our hotels to prevent wastage however if a customer requires more our dining room staff are happy to bring more servings to the table. We usually find that vegetables are cooked al dente; I am sorry that you found them inedible.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you experienced difficulties getting through to our Contact Centre to pay your balance. In instances when our team are experiencing high call volumes, customers are given the opportunity to leave a message, and one of our advisors will call back. Alternatively, customers can make a balance payment on our website.

In instances were we have very high call volumes, we do have an answer machine facility which allows our customers to leave a message and one of our operators will be happy to call back and help.
