If you have a root fly problem, there are several things you can consider in future - - Always thin out carrots in the evening - Cover young carrots with insect netting - Use a preventative treatment such as Nemasys Grow Your Own - Most of all sow a carrot root fly resistant variety such as Resitafly. I refer to the rootfly problem and reply as follows 1 Idid not thin the carrot 2 Iwill try covering with fleece 3 I have never used Nemasys but in the past used Bromophus which is no longer available 4 Ionly use Resistafly which as i said did not work last year as you atrte aware
