It's always a bit of a gamble, walking in March, but usually it pays off a little better — this year really has been absurdly wet so far, and we're sorry you got caught in the downpour! Thank you for your thorough assessment of the Pilgrim's Way. March can be a brilliant time to walk in the UK, but this certainly has been a wet one — we hope it was all an adventure even through the fog, and we're glad to hear our maps and directions were so useful in adverse conditions.

Thank you for your thorough and honest review. Walking in December is certainly a challenge what with the short daylight hours, and we're sorry to hear you were benighted out on the trail. Mileages are drawn from the distance on the trail between each stop, excluding the walk from and to your accommodations in the morning and evening, and that may account for the discrepancy. We would love to look into this, however, alongside the issues with noise at some accommodations, so we'd be hugely appreciative if you could provide some extra detail via our in-depth feedback form.
