Across the Irish Insurance Industry, premiums have risen due to a number of factors. A sustained increase in the number of personal injury claims, higher court awards, and the collapse of Setanta Insurance, have all contributed to this.
At AXA we are dedicated to keeping our expenses down, using cost effective vehicle repairers and fighting fraud. However, personal injury claims are very high, and despite our on-going efforts to minimise cost, all premiums have gone up this year.

Unconvincing reasons given for renewal increase. Downgrading from Fully Comp to Third Party and increasing excess was the only way to ensure a manageable premium.

Unfortunately when loss of no claims bonus occurs after a claim your premium does increase as the discounts applicable reduce. Your no claims bonus will increase over the next 3 years once you remain claim free.
