Hi Surjana, Sorry to hear about your experience. Sunset Services is no longer a member of ServiceSeeking. They ceased their membership with us in early June. Prior to that they did complete a number of jobs but had some mixed feedback. We encourage our users to hire businesses with police checks, insurance verification and highly rated reviews. In saying that, stolen deposits are a serious issue and if you can please contact us at support@serviceseeking.com.au we can help you run through the options available to you to recover your funds. A note to all other users of any platform -whether it be us, Yellow Pages, HiPages, Oneflare etc - please do not pay anyone large deposits - there is no need to do that. If its for the purchase of material - then you purchase it directly for them from the supplier. Please just pay progress payments on completion of work. Always have a contract. These stories are terrible to hear - but often customers are tricked into paying large sums of money upfront - if any tradesperson wants to do business like that - choose another one. For example - on this job alone you had 9 quotes from other tradespeople to do the job - if any business insists in such large deposits like $10k - please report it to us and we will ban them from the site - and then please just pick another business.

Hi Tom, I understand you are upset about prices being quoted - but in saying that, we supplied 3 businesses who were willing to do your job. Each of the 3 reached out to you individually through our chat function to get more details so they could give an accurate price and you didn't respond to them. 2 of the businesses that quoted had previous 5 star reviews from happy customers. We provided you 3 businesses and a range of prices - all of which reached out to your to customise their initial price which was just a guide. You have given us 1 star - I would have thought we provided you exactly what you asked for - quotes from professional businesses. If you want cheap and nasty - I do agree, ServiceSeeking is not the platform for you.
