At first, I wanted to do advisory. However, during Covid 19, it is hard to find an advisory role. Charles Cook analyzed my interest and did his research in the job market. He helped me to get an interview with rotational role at a top Hedge Fund. The role would enable professional to rotate with different department, which will also help me build up professional skills transferrable to advisory. Charles helped me do the interview prep and understand the company. The interview went well but i did not go to next round due to lack of Hedge Fund experience. But from this experience, I found I might be interested in Hedge Fund role. When I communicated to Charles about my interest change, he introduced me to Isabel Koehler. Isabel was working on a hedge fund role. The location is not my first choice, however, after Isabel's introduction of the hedge fund, I started to be interested in the company. I really appreciated Isabel did not put any personal preference when she told me about the company but helped me to find out myself during the interview. I worked with other recruiters, some of them would say this is a better company etc and told me be careful asking questions during interview. Isabel never did that. She encouraged me to ask a ton of questions during the interview to find whether it is a good fit for me. Moreover, Isabel helped me get my ideal compensation. After I signed my offer, Isabel still stayed responsive during my on-boarding process, helping me communicate my concern and question. Thank you Charles and Isabel!
