It is indeed a pity that our preferred accommodations were unavailable on your chosen dates. While there may have been some availability in the region, we only ever use our preferred accommodations to ensure that your trip will be flawless and comfortable. With this in mind, we will always work with the hotels to find an appropriate solution during busy periods. We do pride ourselves on our prompt responses to bookings, particularly those booked at short notice. I am sorry that the efforts of our team took slightly longer than anticipated on this occasion while your specialist worked to find a solution for you. As you mentioned, your deposit is fully-refundable should we be unable to meet your requests and I am glad to hear that your refund was processed timeously.
This is indeed an unusual situation for us as we always try to find a great alternative when there is no availability on a trip.
