We apologise that there was a delay with the delivery of your order.
It was however collected as First Class post by Royal Mail on the same day as you ordered (Thursday 4th).
We endeavour to send out all orders received by 4pm on weekdays (during the week) by first class post - we are unable to guarantee next day delivery unless the Special Delivery option is selected.

when I had a chat I asked if a trip could be booked for the next Saturday. They said I could but the earliest I could book after paying was 25/8

We do offer an availability checking service with our suppliers before purchasing but we are unable to secure or reserve slots for you, so sometimes this can change in the time between checking and the actual purchase of the voucher.
