Hi Julianne, Thanks for your valued feedback. I have assessed your case and can see the advice given by our customer service team was correct in regards to ensuring mould is kept at bay. Mould is not due to a design fault or product failure. Mould is caused by the presence of moisture and this issue is particularly prevalent in winter. Moisture caused by damp or wet conditions/contents can become trapped in the building, especially if the building is not used often. The trapped moisture can cause condensation, which will in turn cause mould. To combat this, it is advised to vent the building as much as possible, allowing fresh air to circulate. If mould does occur, it is important to treat as quickly as possible with an anti-mould cleaner in order to prevent it from penetrating the timber and causing permanent damage.
