Hi Ian, I am sorry that the delivery instructions were ignored. Once we hand over to the courier we trust them to deliver as promised and to follow the instructions. The service we use with Parcelforce is a working day service (not weekends) so I can only assume that they delivered on a weekend due to the backlog caused by the industrial action. I have checked the tracking and I can see that the package has now been successfully delivered.

Hi Gillian, when you placed your order you requested delivery on the week before Christmas. The wine was dispatched on 19/12 and is out for delivery with Parcelforce today (21/12). Please let me know if you think there is anything else we could have done to improve the service provided.

Hi Barry, I am so sorry that it has taken so long to receive your wine. The extra pressure caused by the Royal Mail strikes has made an already very busy period even more difficult. Our service is usually much more efficient, I have arranged for a full refund of your order as a goodwill gesture and to apologise for the poor service on this occassion.

We use Parcelforce because they provide a "Challenge 25" ID check when they deliver - they are the only courier that offer this service - and the strikes have caused some additional pressure at an already busy time of year. I am pleased that the recipient received their wine safely and I hope they enjoy it.
