Good day, we are sorry for the confusion. The principle that the hand boilers are made to teach is heat transfer. The heat from your hand causes the liquid to boil and turn into a gas, which expands towards the top of the glass. If you are unsatisfied with the item. You may take advantage of the 30-day return window and return the item for a refund if you'd like.
