When you made your original request for the extension we immediately reached out to our partners at the eco-lodge to confirm availability but given the weekend/holiday timeframe, our partners were unable to get back to us before the following business day. We are thrilled, however, to know that we were able to confirm the space and that you accepted and will be enjoying our exciting Amazon extension!

We’re pleased that we were able to get more space on your Galapagos departure for your friends, and we look forward to having all of you with us on tour. Our internal process actually was functioning properly, as the departure closed after we sold the last room. Thanks to the quick action by our weekend team, who reached out to our partners in the Galapagos to ask for more space, we were able to confirm your friends first thing Monday morning. 

We apologize for misunderstandings about our travel insurance policy. Our regular policy, underwritten by Travelex, is actually available for purchase at any time until your final payment is due—for your tour, that’s actually 2/11/2018! We do offer two bonus options which are only available if you purchase insurance sooner. The free Pre-existing Condition Waiver is only available if you purchase coverage within 14 days of booking, and the Cancel for Any Reason add-on is only available if purchased with your booking. We’re sorry that we aren’t able to offer these bonus options for a longer period!

Your understanding of the Monday morning process is inaccurate. It is only through my insistence Nicole contact my travel mates (when I called at 0930) that the booking was completed. Sorry, not by the effort of YOUR staff. I observed the booking close immediately after Crivaro booked around 1000. Further, apparently both Danielle and Kristin were trained to tell Melanie and I that the decision for all travel insurance through you HAD to be made that day. It was later when I reviewed the info FP's website, I learned of the 14 day option. The policy has not been provided to either of us as of today!
