Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry for the delay you experienced on your outbound flight to Tenerife, the aircraft did report a technical issue in Tenerife so required a fix by the engineer team. We do hope that you choose to book and fly with FlyDirect on another occasion

We can only apologise for the delays incurred by our clients on 4th April, which were due to a technical issue with the aircraft that needed to be resolved before it could operate our flights that day. We have had a strong relationship with Smartwings for a number of years and, during that time, have experienced only a handful of significant delays. As you mentioned, we are now switching to a different provider, airBaltic, for our Winter 26/27 programme, following a very successful Gran Canaria programme operated with them out of Guernsey this past winter. This airline operates the Airbus A220-300, which is a modern, bright, and spacious aircraft, and also provides added onboard services such as complimentary Wi-Fi. We therefore hope our clients will enjoy a more comfortable journey to the Canary Islands going forward. We do hope that you choose to book and travel with us at FlyDirect and with our new partners, airBaltic, in the future.
