The person who dealt with you is one of the sweetest ladies you could possibly meet. She exemplifies the highest standard of customer care that we all aspire to. Our sales agents do not receive commission like other travel agents because we don’t want our customers to be badgered or pressured. We try to hold the accommodation our customers want for as long as possible but ultimately we need to take payment to avoid losing the holiday. I understand that the lady who looked after you did everything she could to hold your holiday for you as long as possible. The few emails and voicemails she sent to you were for your benefit so that you didn’t lose the holiday you wanted. When she finally did make contact with you she was very upset by the way you spoke to her. I am convinced that she has carried out her duties appropriately, diligently and with your best interests at heart. I am sorry that you have misunderstood her eagerness to help you as badgering.
Although we are trained in disability awareness and very experienced in talking to people with disabilities every day we do occasionally come across people who have a different standard to everyone else. If there comes a day when we can ask our customers about their friends (and mean carers) without any confusion I assure you we will change our vocabulary accordingly. I apologise you were offended but can assure you of our best intentions.
It does not matter to us who makes the booking but we do need the names of everyone in the party to ensure that everyone on the booking has access to all the park facilities. This is a requirement of our supplier and one that no one has ever complained about before.
Regarding releasing the full holiday details to our customers sooner, I will look into this and see what can be done.
I apologise that you will not be able to access the caravan until 4pm. This is a requirement set by our supplier. It isn’t ideal but the park does need time to clean up after previous guests.
