Your new plants will knit together to form a beautiful dense hedge. The leaves on all your Beech will have turned brown for autumn/winter 🍁 as the plants are dormant for the winter. The plants will hold onto the leaves and then in spring new leaves will push through. Hi, Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry your order were delayed. Looking at the tracking I can see your plants were delivered at the weekend and I hope you have managed to plant them and they are settling into their new home. Your plants are native, deciduous species, so your plants will have lost their leaves, and will be looking rather sorry for themselves. They will burst back into leaf and will flower in spring and will eventually produce berries. So extra wildlife should hopefully be coming into your garden soon. Hawthorn hedging is wonderful for wildlife, supporting over 150 species of insects and a host of native birds. Butterflies and bees are frequent spring visitors and from autumn onwards the red, shiny haws are a good food source for thrushes, blackbirds, blue tits and yellowhammers.
