Hi, Thank you for your feedback and I am so sorry you were disappointed with Griselinia. We do try, wherever possible, to supply orders of multiple plants at as similar height as possible and within the size specification advertised, but we appreciate that sometimes this does result in plants of varying height, albeit within the advertised height. I can see that my colleague Vicky has organised a refund for you, and I hope that this helps in assuring you that we take all concerns seriously and if there is anything else we can do to help you with any future orders you may wish to place, please do not hesitate to contact us. You have chosen a really lovely plant for your hedge, and Griselinia does very well when trimmed to shape and will quickly establish into a mature hedge. Tiny yellow flowers and small purple berries may be produced by female plants on occasion, however both are considered insignificant and non-toxic to people and animals. Crab Apple and Field Maple are both native, deciduous species, so they will have lost their leaves during autumn/winter, but will burst back into leaf and will flower and will eventually produce berries. So extra wildlife should hopefully be coming into your garden soon. I am so pleased you are happy with the Privet you have received, it is always lovely to hear such positive feedback. You have ordered such a lot of plants I hope they are all in the ground and are settling into their new home. Privet is a semi-evergreen, which means the plants may lose some or all their leaves during a very chilly winter. In spring lots of new leaves will push through and in the summer they will produce masses of white flowers that will attract lots of butterflies and bees. The "Alaska" variety is a female variety of Holly that produces berries from a young age and these berries will attract lots of hungry birds to your garden.
