Hawthorn is a native, deciduous species, so your plants will have lost their leaves during autumn and will have arrived looking rather bare. Your Laurels will knit together to create a beautiful dense evergreen hedge. During the spring they produce tiny white flowers that are popular with butterflies and bees and during winter they produce small red berries that hungry birds love. Wall Cotoneaster or Contoneaster Horizontalis is deciduous so your plants will be looking rather bare at the moment. In spring new leaves will push through followed by white/pink flowers and they will eventually produce berries in autumn. So extra wildlife should hopefully be coming into your garden soon. Berberis Julianae is a stunning evergreen shrub that is perfect as an intruder proof hedge due to its prickly thorns. Sarcococca confusa is a fragrant, winter-flowering shrub with small, white, sweetly-scented flowers through the winter months replaced by black berries in spring. It is a hardy evergreen shrub, tolerant of a range of conditions, even deep shade, making this a versatile addition to the garden, particularly for shady or north facing borders. Perfect for borders or pots and providing interest through the colder months. Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review. I am so sorry one of the Beech you received was poor quality. As per our emails I have asked our accounts department to process a refund for this. I hope the rest of your Beech are in the ground and are settling into their new home. Beech is a wonderful hedge for colourful seasonal interest. The leaves will have turned brown for autumn/winter 🍁 as the plants are dormant for the winter. The plants will hold onto the leaves and then in spring new leaves will push through.
