From the picturesque Roquemale valley south-west of Montpellier, Valérie and Dominique Ibanez's 'Lema' rouge is a textbook Southern French blend - a wine formed largely of Syrah and old-vine Grenache, this cherry-scented red has spice and cocoa in abundance with a wonderful eucalyptus lift. Certified organic. 'Lema' is from the relatively new AOC Languedoc – Grés de Montpellier appellation. Named after the first two characters of each of their children's names (Lena & Mathias) Valérie and Dominique from Domaine Roquemale suggest pairing it with simply grilled veal fillets, roasted vegetables or slow-braised lamb shanks.
