Vibrant Cabernet Franc from the well-drained alluvial soils of Chinon. According to records from 1838, vines were already being grown in the 'lieu-dit' by the late 1830s. The sand and gravel soils aid ripening as the soil warms quickly and drains well. Winemaker Rodolphe Raffault performs a green harvest in August, removing any bunches to select only the best fruit for the final wine. Certified organic. Classic Cabernet Franc from the expert hands of Rodolphe Raffault grown on the former ancient river bed of the Vienne. Refreshingly lush berry fruit aromas are lifted by good acidity, a touch of violets and a little spice with fine tannins and cherry fruit. This red Chinon wine is best served lightly-chilled. .
