This popular, mid-weight Saint-Pourçain white wine from the Auvergne has subtle citrus aromas, zesty fruit flavours and a crisp and clean finish. It is lively, inviting and lemon fresh, made by the ever-reliable Union des Vignerons. The Saint-Pourçain blanc, bottled as 'Cuvée Printanière', hails from a blend of Chardonnay and local curio Trésallier (20%) that are Spring-bottled to conserve freshness in the wine. It makes a failsafe aperitif, a partner to seafood, and comes into its own when matched with the local cheese Saint-Nectaire, crustaceans, fish or poultry.Grown on limestone-clay and granite soils, it is sourced from vines that are on average around 30 years-old. .
